    • What a glorious place! I had such an amazingly peaceful and relaxing time and was sad to leave. The staff are all friendly and helpful. My room was truly amazing. The room was beautiful and way better than expected. I'd stayed elsewhere on the island before I came here and had a dismal experience, so it was wonderful to find somewhere that exceeded expectations. The grounds are glorious, with a beautifully green area en route to the beach and a stunning beach which was quiet whenever I went there. I loved all the big, comfy seating there, and even over the busy festive season, it was always quiet. The wifi was ASTONISHINGLY good. I'd been led to expect that wifi on Swaraj Dweep was abysmal and had seen negative reviews for this hotel. I travel 365 days a year, often in the world's most developed countries, and this was the best wifi I've had all year. I had an Airtel SIM, and it worked well at the beach. Much easier to set up than the BSNL SIM that many websites tell you is the only working one here. Tuk-tuks go past pretty regularly, so it was easy to walk a bit then get one that was passing. Reception called one for me on the day I left so I could be sure to reach the jetty on time.
    • This property exceeded our expectations! The beachfront location is stunning, and the food was seriously amazing. The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. The place is spotless and well-maintained, too. We had a blast with my friend, enjoying the awesome game room, snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, and working out at the fitness center. We also went on some epic hikes nearby, which were totally worth it. Would totally recommend this spot for a chill beach vacation with plenty of activities to keep you entertained. Can't wait to come back!
    • A word long reply would not suffice the emotional upheaval that this property generated in us. We liked everything about the place, with all its pros and apparent cons, it was a complete package of a gateway, which single handedly can be an unique holiday experience, a much required leisure nest for city busybodies away from the hustle bustle of the usual touristy places. As I told the staff there, the best thing about Munjoh is that it’s very subtle and deep. Never once we felt that we were staying in a commercial property, it was rather like visiting a beachside farmhouse of some loving relation who provides everything with so much love and care. In such a case even it was less in any front a bit, it didn’t matter at all. The beach, the aesthetic decor, very subdued n helping staff, the green wooded grounds, all were a part of very well balanced and managed symphony, where as a guest we could just sync in and be in harmony. The off season made it all the more memorable with a breakfast setting on the beach, and a candlelight dinner at the coffee lounge, arranged on their own by the thoughtful staff and manager Kumar. Perhaps Munjoh could be a reason why I might want to go back to the island if opportunity arises.

    Cons -

    • I liked everything about it. But, if I think very hard, I guess invasion of mosquito was menacing, and we stayed in a lagoon cottage, on the beach side, where I think the toilet had a scope of design improvement! But even with these Munjoh is unique
    • Ocean was not like the photos - It was mostly low tide and then the ocean was terrible. Food was slowBreakfast was not great

From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and always available to help with anything we needed. A special thank you to Kumar, Alex, and the entire team for making us feel so welcome and cared for throughout our stay. The room with direct access to the pool was definitely a highlight ,spacious, beautifully and perfect for relaxing. And the private beach was simply stunning: quiet, clean, perfect sea water. The food was really good, and they always made sure to prepare non-spicy dishes on request, which we really appreciated.

We had a wonderful week at hotel Munjoh. The private beach is one of the most beautiful and peaceful on the island. The rich breakfest on the beach with the spectacular view was the best part of each day!!!The staff was kind, helpful and attentive especially Suresh Naik, Jaba Rani and Johan. They took care of everything we needed and gave us the feeling as we are among family. We thank you all and look forward to visiting again.

Prearranged pick up from Ferry port was canceled unannounced ! Lots of staff only few guests . Resort was not kept well. Our shower head didn’t work. Dinner was unavailable . Beer was unavailable . We had to go to next door resort full of people food and drinks .

We had an amazing stay! Rani and John provided excellent service, going above and beyond to make our experience special. The beach breakfast setup was absolutely stunning—such a perfect way to start the day! Our room was spotless and well-maintained, making our stay even more comfortable. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

The property is located some 50 metres from the beach and it gives you a rustic solace with pleasant ambience. You have super courteous staff who are all very respectful and professional.

There is no bar and swimming pool

The palm trees of the resort were beautiful. The patch of beach with swings and places to lie down and enjoy the view from the shade were great. They helped us book ferry tickets and booked a taxi. Room was big, comfy, clean, no complaints there. AC worked.

The restaurant staff rarely spoke English. The staff woke us up at 8 am last day to offer a surprise beach breakfast, while we wanted to catch some sleep after diving for 3 days. No apology was given. The spa they claim they have in their listing doesn't exist, so we had to go to another resort for that. The breakfast was poor and we only ate it once and later went for it to a local restaurant instead.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. We asked for a late check-out and the staff was very kind to accommodate us.The room is very big and in the bathroom we had all essentials (body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, body wash, dental kits).

Too expensive. €1500 a week is a lot of money. Barely any services available to the guests: no bar on the beach. No beach towels available to guests. The restaurant menu was very limited. We had a luxury room which is very big, however there wasn't a table where to have tea/coffee. We had to have it on the bed. There were only two big towels, no smaller ones. Only 1 hook for them. No safe in the room.

TL;DR - Location, room size, quirky decor, cleanliness, and helpful staff.Long versionWe spent two nights at Munjoh Resorts. I’m 48, and my dad is 78. I mentioned our ages to emphasize that our perspective is that of a middle-aged and an elderly man.We both had a great time. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. The location is fantastic, and the property is well-maintained with a unique and quirky décor. The rooms are spacious (huge is probably a more appropriate word), and the bathrooms are equally large. Our room even had a private pool at the back. The staffs were all polite and helpful. Most of them were young locals who may not have much experience, but they made up for it with their friendly and courteous behavior.P.S. Rent a scooter to explore the area and make the most of your stay.

The service at the restaurant in the property was extremely slow on our first evening. It wasn’t just us; all the guests dining that night were experiencing the same issue. Additionally, some basic services were lacking, such as not providing water. The staffs weren’t rude; they just seem to be overwhelmed with the number of guests in the restaurant. To their credit, they appeared to have improved their service the following morning.

The staff was very accommodating. Rooms were quite spacious, very clean and neatly maintained.

Pool was not clean. WiFi issues. They charge money for pick and drop which in other hotels in the Havelock is complimentary.

Location and arrangement were awesome, staff were super cool, for any query they were on one foot for help instead referring to other staff or department.Great thanks to Miss Rani!!Good job!!

Room amenities were ok, where as it need some up-gradation!

    3ManiPosted on: 11-7-2024

The staff was very co-operative and pleasant.

The property is very good but no maintenance at all. We have to change the room as the basin and toilet water is leaking. After changing the room again the basin is choked, toilet seat is broken. The A/C and fan regulators were not working properly. The owner has beautiful place but worst managed. Not advisable for the sort of money they charge for.

The resort and the royal chalet room. Private beach, dive pool, room service

    Spa wasn't available

Great location and beautiful room.. airy and bright .the biggest strength is the staff.. amazing service by such a young group of people who took great care of me …With them Munjoh ocean resort can be at next level..

1.Pool suite booked but pool wasn’t ready.it was disappointing for the amount paid.2.very limited breakfast options and even less lunch and dinner options…la Luna has to be developed into a proper restaurant…the staff had very limited idea of what is the menu.. it was a shocker..3.No spa services…4.no evening snack services… even more shocking is no coffee or tea is served.. they had instant coffee powder alone… quality of milk is bad.. had to go to a tea shop nearby for tea and snack….food option is a great pull down for munjoh and May deter people from staying…

    2SimonPosted on: 4-10-2024

The location is great, BUT that’s about it. It is probably the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. Completely overpriced in every way. I’m horrified what you pay and then what is not available, and I’m talking about basic amenities. Bottled room water out of a tap, the sewerage smell around the units is at times unbearable. Also for 3 days there was a dead fish in the grass that know one seemed to want to find. Thus I had to endure a swarm of constant flies. The driver. Always grumpy dropped me at the wrong place to snorkel, not a hello, thank you or good bye!!.The whole establishment need a major make over. Damp mouldy slats on the ceiling above my bed. I had to flush the shower drain myself before it was full of sand. I once had a showered and literally mud and sand came out.WiFi absolutely useless. Staff need major refresher’s course in service. AND all this at a very expensive daily rate. There are new developments going up fast. If this place doesn’t change its lazy attitude towards service and the deteriorating infrastructure it is doomed. I give it no more that a 2 year lifespan!!On that note, there was a young lady there Ann at reception, if it were not for her I would have lost the plot completely. She did everything in her power to make amends to the disaster around me.This is NOT a place to go and relax at this resort!!!I could go in but what’s it worth.

    Very supportive staff.

The island it self has no waste water concept. Waste water is directly guided to near beaches.
